Pregnancy in Depth for Acupuncturists
This course is designed to cover all aspects of pregnancy, birthing and the post-natal time period from both western medicine and chinese medicine aspects.
It begins with pre pregnancy planning, common gynaecological conditions which affect fertility, nutrition to optimise fertility, through to conception, the three trimesters of pregnancy, labour and the birthing process, and last, but not least, the post natal time period. The female menstrual cycle, pre pregnancy planning, nutrition to optimise fertility, charting the menstrual cycle, aging and fertility, common conditions which affect fertility for both males and females, assisted reproduction – procedures, protocols and drugs used. Perinatal psychology.

Kate Curtis RGN, RM, Dip Lic Acu, Dip CHM (Patent Formulae) is an acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine herbal practitioner with a background in nursing and midwifery. Kate has a special interest in fertility, pregnancy and post natal care and currently practices as a Midwife/Acupuncturist in an assisted reproductive clinic in Dublin.
